Situated in Paseo del Born, the elegant Casal Solleric is a palace from the mid-18th century which has now been turned into a Cultural Centre. Throughout the year it schedules excellent temporary exhibitions and cultural activities such as presentations or projections, as it has different halls and spaces. It has a shop/bookstore, cafeteria and a library specialising in contemporary art and photography. The building is a house constructed between 1763 and 1775, with Italian and French Baroque decorative influences. It has three floors and a magnificent inner entrance courtyard attributed to Gaspar Palmer, with wrought iron and decorative works by the artist Antonio Soldatti. Also outstanding is the elegant imperial staircase that provides access to the first storey, and the beautiful gallery with five archways of the façade in Born.
