The Catalan wine week presents 12 “Denominations of origin” in the most emblematic settings of Barcelona’s hotels.
The complex process of winemaking ends with the pleasure of enjoying the unique colour, aroma and taste of wines. Catalonia has 12 “Denominations of origin” thanks to the diversity of its soils. For this reason the Barcelona Hotel Management Association is launching a yearly event in which, for the space of one week, everyone may taste the best wines of our land in the most emblematic settings of Barcelona’s hotels.
This activity has been conceived to spread the knowledge of these quality Catalan products. Indeed, the wines belonging to Catalonia’s D.O.s are presented by professional sommeliers who, with their training and experience, help visitors to discover the outstanding results of the Catalan winemakers’ efforts. What’s more, during the “Hotels with D.O.” week, the participating establishments’ restaurants prepare special gastronomic menus that match perfectly with the various wines.
