This museum conserves objects from the past and the present, examining their meaning, contributions to society and uses over time. Its holdings comprise over 70,000 pieces dating from the 4th century BC to the present and feature a number of unique collections, like those of medieval fabrics and of enamelled Catalan glass from the 16th century, which link up in a natural way to the 20th century collections.
