The recently remodelled Diocesan Museum of Barcelona, which is located at Avinguda de la Catedral, hosts the Gaudí Exhibition Center. This Center presents the fascinating work of the great architect Antoni Gaudí through 22 audiovisuals, multimedia spaces and technological devices, which combine to offer visitors a truly innovative experience. The exhibition “Walking with Gaudí” displays a large collection of unique original pieces as well as models, objects and documents of the Modernista architect. This new concept in exhibitions provides an understanding of Gaudí’s work, based on a century of international research on the architect and his revolutionary way of building. In the heart of the Gothic Quarter, the Center features a virtual reality space standing in harmonious contrast to the medieval building in which it is found: the Pia Almoina, which even has vestiges of the city’s ancient Roman wall.
